A resource guide for churches and businesses providing assistance to the community.

There are so many churches and organizations out there that provide the basic needs to people in their community.  Imagine, if you will, someone who comes to a church in need of assistance, but the church has to turn them away because they are unable to help. Then imagine that the church could go online and find another church that could help this person or family.  That is my goal in setting up this page.  There are a number of churches and organizations that provide assistance to anyone who asks. 

How exciting it would be for the soup kitchens if they could direct the needy to find food elsewhere instead of turning them away hungry because they ran out of food on that day!  How exciting would it be for a minister to be able to direct someone to another church or local organization that provides the type of assistance needed instead of turning them away!  The goal of this website is to gather this information and make it readily available to everyone.

This site used to be called Outreachmobile.com. Unfortunately, the Server crashed and all information was lost. The Domain was quickly taken by another outreach program in Mobile, AL, and this site is now reopened under Missionfield316.com. As it happens, the site is no longer limited to Mobile, AL, and has opened the possibility of becomming Statewide, followed by Nationwide. At least, this is my hope.

I created outreachmobile.com in hopes of providing churches in mobile a website that lists churches that provide immediate assistance to the community, with no limitations of religious beliefs, etc.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Pastor Joshua Sparkman of the Christ Presbyterian Church and explained what this site is about, what my goals are, and how to properly serve my Lord and Savior by providing this resource guide to churches in our community. He indicated that this would be helpful and a good resource to have in service to our Lord, Jesus Christ. He provided the following endosement:

Like many of you might have been I was skeptical of Jim Rice at first. However, I responded to his email and met with him. He pitched me his idea for his website and I’ll say my concerns have been alleviated. His idea is a good one: place all mercy ministry information offered by Mobile churches into one, easy-to-use website and calendar. This will allow for those who need the help to more easily get it. I have found Jim to be an honest man, who loves the Kingdom of Christ and the gospel. And I think his skill set might be very useful for the kingdom in Mobile.
